Why is Earthing important?

The primary purpose of earthing is to avoid shocks. Proper electrical grounding practices are the only way to ensure a reduction in electrical safety hazards. Connecting earth cables to cabinets, racks and enclosures and then to a specific ground point will isolate equipment.
