Product Details
Introducing the range of RS PRO 8 core, 4 pair screened multicore cables. The cables feature a multicore 8/0.02mm core strand construction making them perfect for applications that require multiple cores to be wired, whilst keeping them organised and safe. By using this RS PRO high-quality range of multicore cables, tripping hazards can be drastically reduced while improving the overall appearance of electrical equipment, especially in areas where there is little space, or the cable installation is visible to individuals. The strands are housed in a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) sheath and PE insulation offering excellent protection and reliability, whilst maintaining high performance. RS PRO multicore screened industrial cables are made with high-quality solid copper conductors and are available in a variety of lengths and cores to suit a wide range of applications.
Screened multicore cables are electrical cables that have more cores than standard power or coaxial cables and are available in various lengths and cores, dependent on the applications they are being used for. They have an extra layer of protection above the insulation covered by a metallic screen and an outer cover that reduces the effects of electromagnetic interference. They are ideal for using when there is little space or for organising cable installations that require multiple cabling connections, especially within industrial or entertainment applications. Multicore cables are found in many different environments, for example:
Entertainment and audio industry
Machines and factory control equipment
Large control pads
DIN-Rail terminals
Conveyor belts
Data and networking
Security and safety
Unscreened cables feature an outer cover which has been directly forced above the insulation and are ideal for electrical applications that produce low frequencies. Unscreened cables provide sufficient protection and high performance whilst remaining a cost-effective solution. If you need a cable for high-frequency applications then a screened cable would be more suitable.
Multicore cable is a type of electrical cable which includes more cores than a standard power or coaxial cable. They can be supplied in various lengths and the number of cores can vary significantly, depending on the type of application required. Commonly used within industrial or entertainment applications, they can keep otherwise messy and disorganised cable connections tidy and are cost effective solution.
RS PRO is our own brand range and brings you a wide range of high-quality, great value products offering you more choice.
