Power LED EP3, 4W Non-maintained LED Emergency Kit
The EP3 4W Non-maintained LED Emergency Kit from Power LED is designed to convert a wide range of LED luminaires to emergency versions. The EP3 is a popular choice for converting most standard LED luminaires and arrays with 2 to 20 LEDs in series. The controller unit is designed to be installed between the DC side of the mains LED driver and the LED light fitting, allowing the LEDs to operate normally, under stable mains conditions, and at reduced light output in emergency conditions, when the mains fails. The EPR LED emergency kit automatically adjusts the output LED current to produce the best match between battery and load, providing maximum illumination and battery.
Ideal applications are in retrofit emergency lighting, or where you wish to maintain the aesthetics of a singular light fitting.
Intelligent automatic recharging function
Automatic output current adjustment
Constant current mode
Wide range LED voltage 6-60V
3 hour emergency operation
LED charge status display
Deep discharge protection
Test switch with self-test function
Built-in compact design
Suitable for LED luminaire with external driver
Non-maintained LED emergency kit
Uses 3hr battery
Conversion Kits
Charger/inverter modules for converting fluorescent luminaires into emergency lighting units.,The module and battery packs fit inside most modern fluorescent batten fittings. For luminaires that have limited internal dimensions or that have internal temperatures above 50°C, remote mounting boxes are also available. The remote box is also suitable for converting double luminaires into emergency units, however only 1 tube will operate under emergency conditions. Two live supplies are required for standard operation, one switched, one unswitched. Failure of the unswitched supply operates the changeover circuit bringing on the battery supply. A red LED is supplied with the module for fitting into either the luminaire or remote box, to indicate a healthy battery charging state. The nickel-cadmium battery packs are protected against deep discharge.
