This loop calibrator is a handheld instrument for sourcing, simulating and measuring 4–20 mA process loops, including HART-enabled devices for on-site diagnostics. It is designed for technicians working in automation, electronics and mechanical maintenance who need a compact, portable tool to power loops, verify transmitter outputs and capture field data.
It includes a HART modem that supports common universal and common practice commands to read tags, sensor PVs, long tags and perform DAC trims and zero/gain adjustments.
Recorded HART configurations and mA measurements can be uploaded via dedicated software to produce .csv or .txt files for further examination.
The instrument operates between −10 °C and +55 °C with 10–95% non‑condensing humidity for typical plant conditions.
The unit provides over-voltage protection to 240 VAC and overload current protection at approximately 28 mA DC to reduce risk from fault conditions.
