Product details
Allen Bradley Guardmaster TLS-ZR GD2 / TLS-ZL GD2 Solenoid Interlock Switch
Experience flawless protection for personnel and keep your equipment safe from interference with the TLS-ZR GD2 and TLS-ZL GD2 Solenoid Interlock Switches by Allen Bradley Guardmaster.
These devices are positive mode, tongue operated safety interlock switches which are used to secure a machine guard firmly in place while the machine is in motion, and cut off power when the safety barrier is open, thereby preventing unsafe access to hazardous areas.
These advanced safety switches are identical to the existing TLS-GD2 range, however they also include an embedded RFID door target which is mounted close coupled with the supplied fully-flexible actuator. It offers superior reliability as it can detect if an actuator key breaks or becomes separated from its gate mounted position, and will shut down the OSSD safety outputs. These switches have two-channel solid-state OSSD outputs series connectable to ISO 14119 - locking/unlocking is achieved using a logic level signal input.
They offer an easy and cost-effective upgrade to the standard TLS-GD2 as they have the same mechanical arrangement. These switches can be released in emergencies by two manual release points with security screws. An optional lid-mounted key-release style can also be supplied. They offer a choice of auxiliary functionality – either lock status (locked/unlocked) or door position status (door open/closed).
Features and Benefits:
Meets PLe to EN/ISO 13849-1, the highest performance level, certified by the TÜV
Embedded RFID uniquely coded door target
High locking force 2000 N (450 lb)
Easy wiring with M12 8-Pin Quick Disconnect
Three actuator entry points due to rotatable head, which has two entry slots; a blanking plug is provided to seal the unused slot
Protected against damage from actuator due to poor safety barrier alignment and wear-and-tear with stainless-steel actuator guide
Excellent ingress protection rating of IP69K, making them suitable for harsh washdown applications
TLS-ZR GD2: This is a Power-to-Release switch - the safety guard may only be opened when a logic signal is applied to the switch after which the internal microprocessor will enable the internal solenoid, which releases the lock mechanism
TLS-ZL GD2: This is a Power-to-Lock switch, the safety guard will be locked when a logic signal is applied to the switch after which the internal microprocessor will enable the internal solenoid, which engages the lock mechanism
Standards:
EN 954-1, ISO 13849-1, IEC/EN 60204-1, NFPA 79, EN 1088, ISO 14119, IEC/EN 60947-5-1, ANSI B11.19, AS 4024.1.
Approvals: CCC, CE, cULus, TUV.
Warning: Due to stock no. 890-2985 being a power-to-lock switch, provisions may be required to ensure that a dangerous situation can not result from open circuit faults or power failures.
