3M™ UHMW Film Tape 5421 Transparent 19 mm x 16 m
Introducing the 3M™ 5421, this UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) translucent film tape is designed to offer excellent abrasion resistance, making it ideal for tough impact wear or sliding applications. An aggressive rubber resin adhesive enables it to adhere to a broad range of surfaces making it great for tough impact applications. This 3M quality tape provides shear strength, surface adhesion and temperature resistance.
Application
The 3M™ UHMW 5421 can provide high strength and long-term durability through a general-purpose rubber adhesive. It has excellent chemical and abrasion resistance to help a long wear life on the subject. Mounting on a paper liner it makes it ideal for die-cutting to meet specific demands. Designed to be applied in applications that require a low level of friction and the movement of parts/materials. This is the thinner version of the 3M 5421.
Features and Benefits
Translucent, abrasion resistant backing helps protect surfaces from wear
Rubber adhesive provides good initial tack for immediate bonding to the material surface
Can help reduce squeaks, rattles and other noises that occur with movement
Used in applications where lubrication is not possible because of contamination
The liner makes it ideal for fabricating or die-cutting into various lengths and shapes
