Need to check if your sensor's up to the job? This sensor tester from Banner lets you put it to the test. Two LED indicators tell you the sensor's output status and signal whether the output is NPN or PNP. Thanks to the unit's compact dimensions of 47 (H) x 114 (W) x 62mm (D), you have the information you need in the palm of your hand. It's powered by two 9V batteries to see you through testing times without the need for a mains connection.
This tester is compatible with inductive, magnetic field, capacitive and photoelectric sensors, so it's a versatile piece of kit.
When an NPN sensor detects an object, it sinks the current load to the ground or negative side of the circuit, while a PNP sensor switches the load to the positive side.
