What are extension leads?

An extension lead is an electrical power cable that has a plug one end and one or more sockets on the other end. The cable is flexible and is wound round the reel to ensure safe storage and easy transportation. When an extension is required, the individual sockets are used to power their respective devices. Extension cables are ideal for numerous situations and environments.

Basics Cable Reels

High quality extension reels from the world's leading manufacturer. Available in two types – the Basics range for general purpose and industrial site use, and the Premier range all with integral thermal cut-out, and a model with an RCD for enhanced personal safety. All are individually flash tested to 4kV, and comply with the cable reels Standard EN61242. General purpose 230V types have UK BS1363 plugs and outlet sockets, with the 110V industrial types having BS4343 plugs and outlets. In addition, the Premier range offers three models fitted with European Schuko (EN60884) plugs and outlets.
