Product details

Bi-metal contact for winding protection

The steel casing of the thermostat is insulated with a Mylar sleeve that withstands up to +160 °C. This makes it suitable for direct casting in motor and transformer windings, where it acts as a thermal switch, preventing overheating of the winding, as the main power passes through the thermostat's cut-off contacts. The extremely long-life thermostat is rust-proof.Function:The contact is a combination of a bi-metal disc and a current-dependent unit, which cause a spring function when the borderline temperature has beenreached.
