Evaluation Kit for 650nm AFBR-5978Z Transceiver

The AFBR-0978Z Evaluation Kit, from Avago, is designed for the easy and effective evaluation of the AFBR-5978Z 125MBd transceiver with additional diagnostic features. The AFBR-5978Z Ethernet POF transceiver allows the implementation of Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) or Ethernet (10 Mbps) over 50m standard bandwidth POF and 100m standard bandwidth HCS fibre.

Temperature and supply voltage can be monitored real-time
Modulation amplitude, a measure optical link quality can be monitored
DMI alarm and warning levels can be retrieved and alarm and warning flags monitored
Applications include: Media converter

Supplied with

Two evaluation boards, an I/O cable, a SC-RJ optical cable and a CD containing user software and documentation.
